Hello, Friend.  Let me guess your story:

-  You weigh more than you want to.  Or your child or your spouse or a dear friend is overweight.

Now let me tell you my story.  My name is Dana Mather.  I once was a middle-aged Army officer in excellent physical condition.  I exercised all the time and easily kept up with soldiers half my age.  I listened to the diet experts and usually I ate the healthiest diet I could – low fat, whole grains, very few snacks or sodas – you get the idea.

I ate all the "right" things, but many of them were really wrong!  When I finally figured it out, I started eating "Real Food."  I never went hungry, and lost 25 pounds in less than four months.  In fact, I got too skinny!  I had to put a few pounds back on!

People have asked me how I did it.  I'd love to show you.  There is no reason my methods couldn't work for you too.  I cannot promise that you will lose 25 pounds in four months.  (Who knows, maybe you will do even better!)  We're all different so we will all see different results.

But I can promise:

A few key points:
-  The Real Food Diet is not low fat or high fat.  Instead, it is good fat.

-  The Real Food Diet is not low carb or high carb.  Nor is it fruitarian, raw food, macrobiotic, or any other extreme diet.

-  The Real Food Diet is not high protein.  But it is not vegetarian either.  Animal protein is Real Food.  Most other protein sources are not.  If you are vegan and still overweight, you may need to rethink your position.

-  The Real Food Diet is not about exercise.  Exercise is good for you and will help you lose weight faster.  I encourage it.  But if you can not or will not exercise, that's okay.  The Real Food Diet is good for your health with or without exercise.

On the Real Food Diet you will eat fewer calories than on your regular diet.  That, of course, is one of the keys to losing weight.  But –

        -- You won't get hungry.  (Try to cut back your usual diet and see how hungry you get!)

        -- You won't spike your blood sugar, causing the excess sugar to be stored as fat.  (Even if you merely cut back your regular diet, you will still spike your blood sugar and put on the fat.)
